Settled In.

Soo I'm in France! After spending 2 nights at a hostel in Paris with other AFS students-
I arrived, by train, in a town called Guingamp, and my host family was there to pick me up at the station. We then drove to Pluoëc-du-Trieux, where their house is.

My host family is very sweet and Sophie, my host mother, speaks a little English which is helpful for me during this transition. I will be starting school on Monday, because this week, the collège students are participating in a "stage", which is where they learn to work by doing jobs in the "real world". My host sister is working in a music store in Guingamp. The food here is amazing. I went to Mcdonalds and it is so much better than in the US! My host mom makes awesome crepes, too. So far, my host mother has taken me sightseeing a few times. The old churches here are so beautiful! Our house is 20 minutes away from the coast, so I've been to the beach and some other really beautiful places. It's cold here, but not as cold as it is in Atlanta! I'm excited for the weather to warm up so we can go swimming and do more outdoor activities. The other day, I got to visit the stables where my host sister rides horses.
I met a cute puppy!
So far it's been really relaxed and nice. I'm nervous about starting school! After my first week of collège, I'll be back with an update. Til next time!
